PROTECTING CHILDREN IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY
We want everyone to speak up if they see or even think a child is being abused, report it! Highlighting the key role of parent’s attention and emotional involvement as well as strong family and community relationships in order to protect children and youth from threats, including engagement in risky situations. Within the campaign we are providing resources and databases, where professionals, parents as well as youth can find information regarding the problem of grooming videos, press releases, brochures for parents, scenarios for work with children and youth at school, and scenarios for meeting with parents.
A third of people who suspect child abuse do nothing – sometimes because they’re worried about reputation and society condemnation, but children don’t lie about abuse. The Campaign’s focus is “Anything you notice can help a child at risk. We all have a role to play in protecting children and young people from child abuse and neglect”.
Every child has a right to be safe and should be protected from all forms of abuse and neglect.
